—ʿUbayd Allah ibn Muḥammad al-Bazzāz informed us in the year 386 AH; ʿAbd Allah ibn Muḥammad al-Baghawī narrated to us; ʿAbd al-Aʿlā ibn Ḥammād narrated to us.
Ḥammād ibn Salamah narrated to us, from Thābit, from Abū ʿUthmān al-Nahdī, that Abū Hurayrah said:
“I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say, ‘Fasting the month of patience and fasting three days of every month is equivalent to fasting for a lifetime.’”
Al-Nasāʾī also recorded it through Zakariyyā, the Khayyāṭ of the Sunnah, from ʿAbd al-Aʿlā al-Narsī, so for us it appears with an alternative, higher chain (1).
