Zuhayr; Aḥmad ibn ʿUbayd Allah al-ʿUkbarī informed us; Abū Ṭālib Muḥammad ibn ʿAlī al-Ḥarbī informed us; ʿAlī ibn ʿUmar the ḥāfiẓ narrated to us; Ibn Ṣāʿid narrated to us; al-Ḥasan ibn ʿArafah narrated to us; Ismāʿīl ibn ʿAyyāsh narrated to us, from Muḥammad ibn Ziyād, who said: “I heard Abū Umāmah say: I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ declare, ‘My Lord has promised me that He will admit into Paradise from my community seventy thousand people without reckoning and without punishment. Ibn Ṣāʿid also narrated to us; Muḥammad ibn Ḥarb at Wāsiṭ narrated to us; Yazīd ibn Hārūn narrated to us; Ismāʿīl reported it in similar terms.
Baqiyyah likewise transmitted it from Muḥammad ibn Ziyād, and the chain is strong.
Al-Khaṭīb said: I asked al-Barqānī, “Did Abū al-Ḥasan dictate the ʿilal to you from memory?” He answered, “Yes; I am the one who compiled them, and people have read them from my own copy.”
Ḥamzah ibn Muḥammad ibn Ṭāhir (2) composed the following verses about al-Dāraquṭnī:

Al-Baghawī narrated to us; Ṭālūt narrated to us; Faḍḍāl ibn Jubayr narrated to us, from Abū—
