Al-Bukhari recorded this.
Ibn Jurayj narrated from al-Zuhri, from ʿUrwah, from ʿAʾishah, who said: “One day the Prophet ﷺ entered in a joyful state and the lines of his face were gleaming.” She then related the remainder of the report. Agreed upon.
Yaʿqūb al-Fasawī said: Saʿīd narrated to us; he said: Yūnus ibn Abī Yaʿfūr al-ʿAbdī narrated to us from Abū Isḥāq al-Hamdānī, from a woman of Hamdān—he mentioned her name—who said: “I performed the pilgrimage with the Prophet ﷺ. I saw him circling the Kaʿbah on his camel, holding a mihjan (crooked staff) in his hand. I asked her, ‘Describe him to me.’ She replied, ‘He looked like the full moon on its brightest night; I have never seen anyone like him before or after.’”
Yaʿqūb ibn Muḥammad al-Zuhrī reported: ʿAbd Allāh ibn Mūsā al-Taymī narrated to us; he said: Usāmah ibn Zayd narrated to us from Abū ʿUbaydah ibn Muḥammad ibn ʿAmmār ibn Yāsir, who said: “We said to al-Rubayʿ bint Muʿawwidh, ‘Describe the Messenger of Allah ﷺ for us.’ She answered, ‘Had you seen him, you would have said, “The sun has just risen.”’”
Rabiʿah ibn Abī ʿAbd al-Raḥmān said: I heard Anas describing the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. He said: “He was of medium stature among the people—neither conspicuously tall nor short. His complexion was luminous—not an unnaturally pale white, nor brown. His hair was neither tightly curled nor completely straight. He was commissioned as a prophet at the age of forty, and he passed away at the age of sixty. There were not twenty white hairs in his head and beard.” Agreed upon.
