Suhayl ibn Abī Ṣāliḥ narrated—from his father—from Abū Hurayrah—that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said:
“There are two kinds of people from among the denizens of Hell whom I have not yet seen: a people who carry whips like the tails of cattle, with which they lash other people; and women who are clothed yet naked, swaying to temptation and leading others to sway. Their heads are like the slanted humps of Bactrian camels. They will neither enter Paradise nor even catch its scent, though its fragrance can be perceived from such-and-such a distance.” Related by Muslim.
Abū ʿAbd al-Salām narrated—from Thawbān—that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: “Soon the nations will call one another against you just as diners invite one another to a dish.” Someone asked, “Will we be few on that day?” He replied, “No. On that day you will be many, but you will be like the froth carried by a flood. Maʿmar narrated—from Hammām—that Abū Hurayrah reported that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: “By Him in whose hand my soul is, a day will surely come upon one of you when to see me—then to see me again—will be dearer to him than having his family and his wealth along with them.” Related by Muslim, and al-Bukhārī has the same wording from Abū Hurayrah.
Ṣafwān ibn ʿAmr narrated: Azhar ibn ʿAbd Allah al-Ḥarazī told me—on the authority of Abū ʿĀmir al-Hawzanī—from Muʿāwiyah ibn Abī Sufyān—that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: “The People of the Book split up in their religion into seventy-two sects, and this community…"
