45 – Muhammad ibn Yazid narrated to us; he said: I heard Abu Bakr ibn ʿAyyash say: A man asked ʿAtaʾ ibn al-Saʾib, “Did ʿAli (may Allah ennoble his face) lead them in prayer during the month of Ramadan?” He replied, “You are relying on children’s chatter! By Allah, he most certainly did lead them.”
