44 – Dāwūd ibn ʿAmr al-Dabbī narrated to us; he said: ʿAlī ibn Hāshim reported to us, from Jarīr, from Abū al-Ashʿath al-Jadalī, who said: “I fought in three campaigns during the time of ʿAlī (may Allah ennoble his face). I also prayed with him at night in Ramadan as a voluntary act, and whenever the reciter concluded, he would step outside and perform Witr with three rakʿahs.”
