11 – Muhammad ibn Sulayman related to us; he said: Ibn al-Mubarak narrated to us, from Yahya ibn Ayyub, from Abdullah ibn Qarit—Luwayn remarked, “People pronounce it Qurayt”—from Ata ibn Yasar, from Abu Saʿid al-Khudri, who said that the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, declared:

“Whoever fasts Ramadan, recognizes its limits, and safeguards what ought to be safeguarded, it will wipe out the sins committed before it.”
