Introduction by the Scholarly Committee
In the name of Allah, the Most Merciful, the Bestower of Mercy.
Indeed, all praise is due to Allah. We praise Him, seek His help, and seek His forgiveness. We seek refuge in Allah from the evils within ourselves and from the evil consequences of our deeds. Whomever Allah guides, none can lead astray; and whomever He leads astray, none can guide. We testify that there is no god worthy of worship except Allah alone, without partner, and we testify that Muhammad is His servant and Messenger. May Allah send prayers and abundant peace upon him, his family, his Companions, and those who follow them in righteousness until the Day of Judgement.
To proceed:
This is the third volume of A Detailed Commentary on Zād al-Mustaqniʿ, by our eminent shaykh, the erudite scholar Muhammad ibn Ṣāliḥ al-ʿUthaymīn. May Allah the Exalted bestow abundant mercy upon him and admit him into the vastness of His Gardens.
Among the blessings of Allah, Glorious and Exalted is He, is that the author, the eminent shaykh, reviewed most parts of A Detailed Commentary after the publication of its first edition. He added what there was a need to add, omitted what was not needed, and left the rest as it was, as he explained in the introduction to the first volume. The Shaykh Muhammad ibn Ṣāliḥ al-ʿUthaymīn Charitable Foundation entrusted Shaykh Fahd ibn Nāṣir ibn Ibrāhīm al-Sulaymān with verifying and documenting the hadiths of the second and fourth volumes.
It likewise entrusted the work on the fifth volume and those that follow to Shaykh Dr. Khālid ibn ʿAlī al-Mushayqiḥ, Shaykh Khālid ibn ʿAbdullāh al-Muṣliḥ, and Shaykh ʿAbd al-Raḥmān ibn ʿAbdullāh ibn al-Amīr. May Allah reward them all with the best reward and assist them in carrying out their noble work.
We ask Allah the Exalted to make this work sincerely devoted to His Noble Countenance, in accordance with that which pleases Him, and beneficial to His servants; to reward our eminent shaykh, the author, on behalf of Islam and the Muslims with the best reward; to multiply his recompense and reward; to raise his rank among the rightly guided; and to admit him into the vastness of His Gardens. Indeed, He is All-Hearing, Ever-Responsive. May Allah send prayers and peace upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, his Companions, and those who follow them in righteousness.
