and the Christians fell with the fall of the Romans under Heraclius; the religion of the Magians fell with the fall of Khosrow; and the religion of the polytheists fell with the conquest of Mecca. Thus, all religions fell, and the Muslims held dominion over the east and west of the earth.

But when what happened happened—namely, contravention of the Shariah—the Muslim community became divided and fell into dispute; its strength was turned against itself, and its enemies gained mastery over it. They began to encroach upon its lands from every side: they took al-Andalus, Syria, Egypt, Iraq, and other lands. All of this was due to distancing themselves from the Shariah of Allah.

We call for a return to the Book of Allah and the sunnah of His Messenger, may Allah’s blessings and peace be upon him. We guarantee everyone who returns with truthfulness and sincerity, outwardly and inwardly, in spirit and body, that he will overcome his enemies, whatever the circumstances may be. For Allah, Most High, says:

“Indeed, We will surely support Our messengers and those who believe during the life of this world and on the Day when the witnesses stand.” [Ghafir: 51]

More than that, we guarantee that his enemy—even if separated from him by a month’s journey—will be filled with fear of him, as the Messenger, may Allah’s blessings and peace be upon him, said: “I have been granted victory through awe cast into the hearts of my enemies from a month’s journey away, and the earth has been made for me a place of prayer and a means of purification.” (1)
