do not inherit by clientage except from one whom they themselves emancipated, or from one emancipated by someone whom they emancipated. This is the position held by the jurists, though the issue requires careful investigation and study. For it may be asked: Why should she not inherit by clientage when the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: “Clientage is a bond like the bond of kinship”? (1)
