The third issue: What should he say during the remainder of the circumambulation?
The answer: Between the Yemeni Corner and the Black Stone, he should say: “Our Lord, give us what is good in this world and what is good in the Hereafter, and protect us from the punishment of the Fire” (1).
Shaykh al-Islam, may Allah have mercy on him, said: “The reason for this is that this side of the Ka‘bah marks the end of the circuit, and the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, would generally conclude his supplication with this prayer.”
As for the addition, “Admit us into Paradise along with the righteous, O Almighty, O Most Forgiving,” it has not been reported from the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him. One should therefore not adopt it as an act of worship devoted to Allah. However, if someone supplicates with it, he should not be reproached, since this is a place for supplication. But making it a fixed formula connected to the circuits—“Our Lord, give us what is good in this world and what is good in the Hereafter, and protect us from the punishment of the Fire”—is incorrect.
It is also related that the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, would say: “O Allah, I ask You for pardon and well-being,” but this is a weak hadith (2).
His statement, “Whoever leaves out anything of the circumambulation”: The author, may Allah have mercy on him, now begins to explain the conditions of circumambulation. Among them is that it must encompass all of the circuits.
