As for the heart: one should be certain that this blessing comes from Allah, Who has bestowed it out of His grace.
As for the tongue: one should praise Allah for it, saying, “Praise be to Allah who has given us rain,” and similar words.
As for the limbs: one should obey Allah by fulfilling His commands and refraining from what He has forbidden.
For this reason, the poet said:
Your blessings have secured from me three things:
my hand, my tongue, and my concealed conscience.
His statement, “and they should ask Him for more of His bounty,” means that they should ask Allah to increase them from His bounty. This includes saying, “O Allah, make it a beneficial rainfall,” as the Prophet ﷺ used to say. (1)
The Call Is Made: “The Prayer Is to Be Held in Congregation” ………
His statement, “The call is made: ‘The prayer is to be held in congregation,’” means that, when the time for the prayer for rain arrives, the call is made: “The prayer is to be held in congregation.” It may be expressed in three ways:
The first: “The prayer is to be held in congregation,” with “the prayer” as the subject and “in congregation” as its predicate.
The second: “Attend the prayer in congregation,” with “the prayer” as the object of an omitted verb, and “in congregation” as a circumstantial qualifier of “the prayer”; that is, attend the prayer while it is being held in congregation.
The third: “This is a congregational prayer,” with “the prayer” as the predicate of an omitted subject—its implied wording being, “This is the prayer”—and “in congregation” as a circumstantial qualifier of “the prayer.” However, this is the weakest of the three analyses.
