88. He said: Muhammad ibn Qudāmah al-Juwayrī recited to me:

Death is a millstone that turns above us all;
we remain unmindful, each of us beguiled.

May Allah show mercy to the one who weeps for his sins;
for every person, his own offence is an excuse to seek pardon.

Would that I knew—what will become of you
when even the earth has lost the spot where your grave once lay?

Would that I knew—how will you fare
when camphor dust is scattered over the fevered heat of your face?
