- ʿAbd al-Raḥmān ibn Ṣāliḥ narrated to us; Abū Bakr ibn ʿAyyāsh reported: Ibn ʿAbbās said, “They will rise and behold a land unlike the one they once knew, and a people unlike the people they had known.” He went on: Ibn ʿAbbās then quoted:
People are no longer the people you once knew,
Nor is the dwelling the dwelling you used to recognize.
٧٣- حدثني عبد الرحمن بن صالح ثنا أبو بكر بن عياش قال قال ابن عباس يخرجون فينظرون إلى الأرض غير الأرض التي عهدوا وإلى أناس غير الناس الذي عهدوا قال ثم تمثل ابن عباس فقال
فما الناس بالناس الذين عهدتهم ... ولا الدار بالدار التي كنت تعرف.
