- ʿAli ibn al-Jaʿd and Isḥāq ibn Ismāʿīl narrated to us; Sufyān ibn ʿUyaynah related; ʿAbd al-Raḥmān ibn Ḥumayd reported from a man of the Banu … who said: Ibn Masʿūd saw a man laughing at a funeral and said, “Are you laughing while you are at a funeral? By Allah, I shall never speak to you again.”
٦٤- حدثنا علي بن الجعد وإسحاق بن إسماعيل عن سفيان بن عيينة عن عبد الرحمن بن حميد عن رجل من بني.. . قال أبصر ابن مسعود رجلا يضحك في جنازة فقال أتضحك وأنت في الجنازة والله لا كلمتك أبدا.
