- Ibrāhīm ibn ʿAbd Allāh al-Harawī narrated to us; Hushaym related to me; and Abū ʿAbd Allāh al-Ḥimṣī transmitted from an informant who reported on the authority of Abū Hurayrah that whenever a funeral procession passed by him early in the day he would say, “Set out early, for we are sure to follow.” And when it passed by him in the late afternoon he would say, “Set out late, for we too are coming after you.”
٦٣-حدثنا إبراهيم بن عبد الله الهروي حدثني هشيم وثنا أبو عبد الله الحمصي عن من حدثه عن أبي هريرة أنه كان إذا مروا عليه بالجنازة في أول النهار قال اغدوا فإنا رايحون وإذا مروا عليه من العشي قال روحوا فإنا غادون.
