- Muhammad narrated to us; Dāwūd ibn al-Muḥabbar narrated to us, from Ṣāliḥ al-Marri, who said: “Whenever someone in Ḥassān ibn Abī Sinān’s neighborhood passed away, I would hear from his house the same wailing and weeping that is heard from the house of the deceased. Once he had attended the funeral and returned home, he would eat nothing that night, and I observed his children and the members of his household enveloped in tranquility and reverent humility for days.”
٦١- حدثنا محمد ثنا داود بن المحبر ثنا صالح المري قال كان حسان بن أبي سنان إذا مات في جيرانهم ميت سمعت من داره النحيب والبكاء كما يسمع من دار الميت فإذا حضر الجنازة ثم انصرف لم يفطر تلك الليلة ونظرت إلى ولده وأهل داره عليهم السكينة والخشوع أياما.
