3- Ibrāhīm ibn ʿAbd al-Malik related to me, from Abū Jaʿfar al-Farrāʾ. He said: Whenever al-Ḥasan ibn Ṣāliḥ climbed his prayer tower and looked out over the graveyard, he would say, “How lovely your outward appearance is, yet the real calamities lie within you.”
