- Hārūn ibn ʿAbd Allāh narrated to us; Siyyār narrated to us; Jaʿfar narrated to us; Saʿīd al-Ḥarīrī narrated to us, from one of his teachers:
Abū al-Dardāʾ once caught sight of a man in a funeral procession who kept asking, “Whose funeral is this?” Abū al-Dardāʾ replied, “It is yours. Allah says: ‘Indeed, you will die, and indeed, they will die.’” [Q 39:30]
٢٨- حدثنا هارون بن عبد الله ثنا سيار ثنا جعفر ثنا سعيد الحريري عن بعض أشياخه أن أبا الدرداء أبصر رجلا في جنازة وهو يقول جنازة من هذا فقال أبو الدرداء هذا أنت يقول الله ﷿: ﴿إنك ميت وإنهم ميتون﴾ .
