27. ʿAli ibn Ḥusayn al-ʿĀmirī narrated to me; Abu al-Naḍr narrated to us; al-Masʿūdī narrated to us; from ʿAwn ibn ʿAbd Allah, who said:

Whenever the Messenger of Allah ﷺ accompanied a funeral procession, a deep sadness would overcome him; he engaged much in silent self-reflection and spoke very little to others.
