274 – Abu Bakr Muhammad ibn Yunus al-Qurashi narrated to us; Quraysh ibn Anas told me; Kulayb ibn Waʾil, the imam of Masjid al-Masāriḥ, related: “We undertook a campaign to India in the early years of this age, and when we reached ʿAtqaba we found a tree bearing red blossoms, and written upon it in white, clearly legible, ⦗196⦘ ‘There is no god but Allah; Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah ﷺ.’”
