242 – He said: Abū ʿAlī handed me a wooden tablet he had inscribed for a certain man, then set it by ⦗184⦘ the grave of one of his kin:
How can I go on living now that my close friend and companion are gone?
My soul has melted away, its happiness extinguished.
Yet I still come to his grave and offer my greeting,
though the silent pit returns no words to those who visit it.
