239 – Al-Faḍl ibn Jaʿfar narrated to me; Muḥammad ibn Aḥmad al-Bajalī narrated to me; he said: “It was found inscribed on a grave:

‘Be patient with the era that has afflicted you, for so have ages always passed—
Joy and sorrow trading turns; neither grief endured forever, nor delight.’”
