175 – ʿAlī b. Muḥammad al-Baṣrī recited to me:

O hour when the grave receives me, where will my visitors be
once I am left alone among its stones?

My remembrance will be forsaken, my homeland left secure,
and my allotted span—and every act of self-sacrifice—will have come to an end.
