166 – Muhammad ibn Khalaf related: Muhammad ibn al-ʿAlāʾ al-Taymī narrated to us from ʿUqbah al-Bazzār, who said: I heard a Bedouin who, on seeing a funeral procession, came forward proclaiming, “Congratulations, congratulations to its bearer!” I asked him, “Why do you congratulate him?” He replied, “How could I not congratulate someone who is being taken to the gracious neighborhood of a Most Generous Host—whose hospitality is wide and whose pardon is immense?” It was only at that moment that I truly understood the meaning of his words.
