164 – Muhammad ibn Khalaf al-Taymi related to me, "My father told me: I heard Abu Bakr al-Nahshali attend a funeral. When the deceased had been buried and his family began to weep, Abu Bakr started drawing in the dirt and said:

The dead man is mourned by one who died before him,
while the death of the mourner is drawing near."
