144 – Muḥammad ibn Idrīs narrated to me; ʿAlī ibn Ṣāliḥ al-Rāzī narrated to us; Ibrāhīm ibn Khālid narrated from ʿUmar ibn ʿAbd al-Raḥmān, who said: I heard Wahb ibn Munabbih say:

Jesus (peace be upon him) was once standing by a grave with the disciples while his companion was being lowered into it. They spoke about the grave—its desolation, its darkness, and its constriction—so Jesus (peace be upon him) said, “You were in something even narrower than this: the wombs of your mothers. Yet when Allah wills to make it spacious, He makes it spacious.”
