139 – Muḥammad ibn Mūsā al-Ṣāʿigh narrated to me. ʿAbd Allāh ibn Nāfiʿ al-Madani narrated to us:
A man from Medina died and was buried there. Afterwards, someone saw him in a vision appearing as one of the people of Hell, and this distressed him. Then, on the seventh or eighth night, he was shown again, now looking like one of the people of Paradise. The onlooker asked, “Did you not say you were among the people of Hell?” He answered, “That was so, but a righteous man was buried with us, and he interceded for forty of his neighbors ⦗129⦘—and I was one of them.”
