125 – ʿAbd al-Muʾmin told me: A man related, “A daughter of mine passed away, and when I lowered her into the grave I reached to straighten a brick and found that she had been turned away from the qiblah. ⦗118⦘ I was gripped by deep sorrow because of that. Later I saw her in a dream and she said, ‘Father, you were distressed by what you saw of me, yet most of those buried around me have likewise been turned away from the qiblah.’ ” The narrator added: “It was as though she was referring to those who died while persisting in major sins.”
