113 – Abu ʿUbaydah narrated to us; my father narrated to us; and Hammad ibn Salamah reported: “I was present with al-Hasan when he questioned al-Farazdaq during a funeral, asking, ‘What have you prepared for this day?’ He replied, ‘The testimony that there is no god but Allah.’ Al-Hasan remarked, ‘By Allah, he is indeed a learned man.’”
