107 – Al-Ḥasan ibn Sulaymān narrated to us; Rūḥ ibn ʿAbd al-Muʾmin, the Qur’an-reciter, passed it on; Ibrāhīm ibn ʿAbd Allāh al-Namirī told me, from Baqiyyah al-Zahrānī. He said: I heard Thābit al-Bunānī say, “As I was walking through the graveyard, an unseen voice called out from behind me: ‘O Thābit, do not be deceived by their silence—for how many a soul burdened with sorrow lies here!’ I turned around, but saw no one.”
