been achieved in Syria, and even more than that, so that the people(1) of Egypt were seized by a joy at Allah’s favor upon us that words cannot express. The truth became manifest to both commoners and dignitaries alike, and the brethren who set out thereafter arrived(2) on Friday; Allah reunited us with them in the best of circumstances. All praise is due to Allah—by His grace righteous deeds are completed—and praise be to Allah who has united the hearts of the believers. Therefore, multiply your thanks and praise to Allah.
Hold fast to all that gathers the believers’ hearts and binds them together(3), and beware of conceit and of splitting the ranks of the believers. The very foundation upon which adherence to the Sunnah and the Community rests(4) is the uniting of the believers’ hearts, so that division and discord are avoided as far as possible. What Allah has brought about—and continues to bring about(5)—in this matter surpasses(6) the bounds of imagination and exceeds the limits of human intellect.
All praise belongs to Allah, Lord of the worlds, an abundant, pure, blessed praise, just as our Lord loves and is pleased with. Peace, mercy, and blessings of Allah be upon you. Convey my greetings to all the brothers and companions(7), each one individually.
