edited by Sami Jad Allah and ʿAbd al-ʿAzīz al-Khubānī, and it was partly edited—up to the “Book of Zakāh”—by Dr. ʿĀmir Ḥasan Ṣabrī and issued in two volumes by al-Maktabah al-Ḥadīthah in 1409 AH. The remainder, save for a small section at the end, was completed by my friend Dr. Aḥmad al-Qarnī in his doctoral dissertation.

7 – Risālah Laṭīfah fī Aḥādīth Mutafarriqah Ḍaʿīfah (A Brief Epistle on Various Weak ḥadīths). Reprinted several times, including an edition in the collected epistles (pp. 83–111).

9 – al-Ṣārim al-Munkī fī al-Radd ʿalā al-Subkī (The Decisive Sabre in Refutation of al-Subkī). Printed repeatedly, yet still in need of a scholarly critical edition worthy of its standing; several manuscript copies survive.
10 – Mukhtaṣar Ṭabaqāt ʿUlamāʾ al-Ḥadīth (Abridged Biographical Layers of the ḥadīth Scholars). Published by Muʾassasat al-Risālah in four medium-sized volumes, edited by Akram al-Būshī and Ibrāhīm al-Zaybaq. The work is largely an abridgement of al-Dhahabī’s Tadhkirat al-Ḥuffāẓ, with additional material and useful notes.
