• A principle on the Prophet’s statement, peace and blessings be upon him: “My ummah will divide into seventy-three sects” (1).

• A principle affirming that the sum of all good deeds is justice, the sum of all evil deeds is injustice, and setting out the ranks of sins in this world (2).

• A principle (3) explaining that good deeds are driven by two motives—seeking benefit and warding off harm—whereas (4) evil deeds arise from the very opposite.

• A principle concerning the virtues of the first ten days of Dhu al-Hijjah (5).

• A principle regarding the Prophet’s mission, peace and blessings be upon him, to both the jinn and humankind (6).

• A principle establishing that every innovation ultimately returns to one of the branches of unbelief (7).

• A principle (8) discussing the sunnah and innovation, and that every innovation is misguidance (9).

وقاعدة في قوله ﷺ : «ستفترق أُمَّتِي على ثلاث وسبعين فرقة» (١). وقاعدة في أن جِماع الحسنات العدل، وجِماع السيئات الظلم، ومراتب الذنوب في الدنيا (٢). وقاعدة في أن (٣) الحسنات تعلَّل بعلَّتين: جلب المنفعة ودفع المضرة، والسيئات بالعكس (٤). وقاعدة في فضائل عشر ذي الحجة (٥). وقاعدة في رسالة النبي ﷺ إلى الجن والإنس (٦). وقاعدة في أن جميع البدع ترجع إلى شعبة من شعب الكفر (٧). وقاعدة (٨) في الكلام على السنة والبدعة، وأنَّ كلَّ بدعة ضلالة (٩).
