(1) In Ibn Rashiqq (p. 306) it is written “Masalat al-Khidr,” a copyist’s error.
(2) Ibn Rashiqq (p. 306) records it as “Dafʿ al-Malam … a slender volume.” It has been reprinted many times and is found in Majmu al-Fatawa 20:231–293.
(3) Cited by Ibn Rashiqq (p. 306). Its abridgement has often been published and is included in Majmu al-Fatawa 28:244–397. The full text appeared for the first time, in one volume, within the Shaykh al-Islam Ibn Taymiyya Works Project, edited by the present writer.
(4) Mentioned by Ibn Rashiqq (p. 298, al-Jamiʿ) and others; it is probably the piece preserved in Majmu al-Fatawa 4:350–392.
(5) Ibn Rashiqq (p. 298) says it runs to “about sixty folios.” It has been published repeatedly, most recently in an edition by Dr. Yahya al-Hunaydi (Maktabat al-Rushd, Riyadh). It also appears in Majmu al-Fatawa 10:5–90.

(7) Ibn Rashiqq (p. 295) notes: “a refutation of Ibn Sabin and others, one volume.” It was published under the title Bughyat al-Murtad fi al-Radd ʿala al-Mutafalsifa wa al-Qaramita wa al-Batiniyya Ahl al-Ilhad min al-Qaʾilin bil-Hulul wal-Ittihad, edited by Dr. Musa al-Duwish (Dar al-Ulum wal-Hukm, 1408 AH). The editor states that this title was supplied by copyists; the author himself, his students, and later scholars refer to the work under several different names.
