[Their position on the attributes of the Face, hearing, sight, knowledge, power, and speech]
They affirm that He has a Face, hearing, sight, knowledge, power, strength, and speech—not as the people of deviation among the Muʿtazilah and others claim, but as He, the Most High, says:
“And there will remain the Face of your Lord.” [al-Rahmān: 27]
And He says:
“He has sent it down with His knowledge.” [al-Nisā’: 166]
And He says:
“They encompass nothing of His knowledge except what He wills.” [al-Baqarah: 255]
[قولهم في صفة الوجه والسمع والبصر والعلم والقدرة والكلام]
ويثبتون أن له وجها، وسمعا، وبصرا، وعلما، وقدرة، وقوة، وكلاما، لا على ما يقوله أهل الزيغ من المعتزلة وغيرهم، ولكن كما قال تعالى: ﴿وَيَبْقَى وَجْهُ رَبِّكَ﴾ [الرحمن: ٢٧] وقال: ﴿أَنْزَلَهُ بِعِلْمِهِ﴾ [النساء: ١٦٦] وقال: ﴿وَلَا يُحِيطُونَ بِشَيْءٍ مِنْ عِلْمِهِ إِلَّا بِمَا شَاءَ﴾ [البقرة: ٢٥٥]
