[The Decree of Lifespans]

They say that Allah, Mighty and Majestic, has appointed for every living creature a term that it will reach. When their appointed time comes, they can neither delay it nor advance it by a single hour. If a creature dies or is killed, this occurs at the end of its appointed term, as Allah, Mighty and Majestic, said:

“Say, ‘Even if you had remained in your homes, those for whom death in battle was decreed would have gone out to the places where they were to fall.’”

[Allah Is the Provider]

Allah Most High provides every living creature with the nourishment that sustains its life. Allah guarantees this to those of His creatures whom He keeps alive, and it is He who provides it, whether from lawful or unlawful sources. The same applies to the provision of adornment beyond what is needed to sustain life.
