The perfection and all-encompassing nature of His might and power are also manifested in the fact that, just as He is the Creator of His servants, He is also the Creator of their deeds, their obedience and their sins. Yet these are also their own actions. They are attributed to Allah as their Creator and the One who decrees them, and to His servants as those who actually and directly perform them. There is no contradiction between the two, for Allah is the Creator of their ability and will, and the Creator of the complete cause is the Creator of its effect. Allah Most High says:
“Allah created you and what you do” 1.
Among the manifestations of His power is what He mentions in His Book: granting His allies victory, despite their small numbers and limited equipment, over enemies who far surpassed them in numbers and equipment. Allah Most High says:
“How often has a small company overcome a large company by Allah’s permission” 2.
Among the manifestations of His power and mercy is what He brings about for the people of Hell and the people of Paradise: various forms of punishment and abundant, continuous, ever-renewed delights that never cease or end.”3.
