The Self-Sufficient Master, the Bringer of Harm, the Manifest, the Just, the Almighty

49 – The Self-Sufficient Master2:

He—may Allah Most High have mercy on him—said: “The Self-Sufficient Master is the perfect Lord, the great Master, who possesses every attribute of perfection in its utmost fullness. Created beings cannot encompass even some of these attributes in their hearts, nor can their tongues express them. He is the One to whom all turn, seeking Him in every need and calamity:

“All who are in the heavens and the earth ask of Him; every day He is engaged in a matter.” 3

He is inherently free of all need, whereas all beings are inherently dependent upon Him: for their creation, their preparation, and their provision with everything they need in every respect. Not one of them is independent of Him in the slightest, in any circumstance4.

The Self-Sufficient Master is the One to whom all created beings turn in all their needs and circumstances
