Most High continually bestows provision upon His servants, both the obedient and the disobedient. The disobedient persist in waging war against Him, denying Him and His messengers, and striving to extinguish His religion. Yet Allah Most High is Forbearing and Most Patient with what they say and do. They persist in evil, while He continually showers them with blessings. His patience is the most perfect patience, for it stems from His perfect power, His complete independence of creation, and His perfect mercy and beneficence. Blessed, then, is the Merciful Lord, like whom there is nothing, the Most Patient, who loves those who are patient and helps them in all their affairs.”1
