And these are the greatest and most exalted means by which His servants are guided. Indeed, there is no attaining right guidance without them. Whoever seeks guidance elsewhere, Allah leads him astray; whoever does not seek guidance through them is not rightly guided.
They bring sound understanding by clarifying truths, foundational principles and subsidiary matters, and what is beneficial or harmful in religious and worldly affairs. They also bring right guidance in practice, for they purify souls, cleanse hearts, call to the most righteous deeds and the finest character, encourage everything good, and warn against everything blameworthy and vile. Whoever seeks guidance through them is rightly guided, and whoever does not is astray.
He has left no one with any argument against Him after sending the messengers and revealing the Books containing complete guidance.
