He, Most High, says:
‘With this Allah warns His servants: O My servants, fear Me!’ 1.
His kindness and mercy have made easy for them the paths by which they attain good things, and His kindness and mercy have warned them against the paths that lead them to harm. We therefore ask Him, Most High, to complete His goodness toward us by enabling us to follow the straight path and remain safe from the paths that lead those who follow them to Hell”2.
33 - The Exalter, the Abaser3:
34 - The Lord4:
The author—may Allah Most High have mercy on him—said: “The name ‘the Lord’ occurs repeatedly in many verses.
The Lord is He who nurtures all His servants through His governance and every kind of blessing.
More specifically, He nurtures His chosen servants by setting right their hearts, souls, and character. This is why they so often invoke Him by this majestic name: they seek this special nurturing from Him5.
To Him belong all aspects of lordship for which He deserves to be worshipped: every attribute of perfection, every praiseworthy quality, all bounty, and all beneficence. No one shares with Allah any aspect of lordship:
‘There is nothing like Him, and He is the All-Hearing, the All-Seeing’ 6.
Neither a human being nor an angel shares in it. Rather, they are all servants, subject to their Lord in every aspect of His lordship
