the attributes of greatness and grandeur, which are firmly and truly established in Him; He lacks no attribute of majesty or perfection1.
He possesses the attributes of glory, grandeur, greatness, and majesty. He is greater than everything, mightier than everything, and more majestic and exalted. His devoted and chosen servants hold Him in reverence and veneration; their hearts are filled with reverence and veneration for Him, submission to Him, and humility before His grandeur”2.
17 - The Beautiful3:
He, may Allah Most High have mercy on him, said: “The Beautiful is the One who possesses the attributes of beauty and goodness4. He is beautiful in His essence, His names, His attributes, and His deeds. No creature can describe even a part of the beauty of His essence. Indeed, despite the everlasting bliss, pleasures, happiness, and immeasurable joys enjoyed by the people of Paradise, when they behold their Lord and delight in His beauty, they will forget the bliss they enjoy, and their other joys will fade away. They will wish that this state would last forever, so that His beauty and light might add further beauty to their own. Their hearts will constantly yearn and long to see their Lord, and they will rejoice in the Day of Increase with a joy that almost makes their hearts soar.
Likewise, He is beautiful in His names, for they are all beautiful—indeed, they are absolutely the finest and most beautiful names. Allah Most High says:
‘To Allah belong the Most Beautiful Names, so call upon Him by them.’ 5
And He Most High says:
‘Do you know of any equal to Him?’ 6
All His names signify the utmost praise, glory, and perfection. He is not called by any name whose meaning can denote perfection or otherwise.
