Conclusion
All praise is due to Allah, through whose praise good deeds are brought to completion. I praise Him for granting me success and extol Him with every praise. I cannot encompass His praise; He is as He has praised Himself. May blessings and peace be upon the noblest of prophets and messengers, our Prophet Muhammad, and upon all his family and Companions.
To proceed:
In this study, now drawing to a close, I have endeavoured, to the best of my ability, to present its material clearly and accessibly. I have focused on explaining the efforts of the eminent scholar Abd al-Rahmān al-Sa‘dī in his explanations of the Most Beautiful Names. In these, he—may Allah have mercy on him—demonstrated his great concern to clarify the beliefs of the righteous predecessors, particularly regarding Allah’s names and attributes. The shaykh—may Allah have mercy on him—explains the Most Beautiful Names according to the methodology of the righteous predecessors, relying on transmitted evidence from the Quran and Sunnah.
The conclusions I have drawn from this study may be summarized as follows:
1 - Acknowledging and believing in all of Allah’s names, attributes and actions established in the Quran and Sunnah.
2 - Affirming all the attributes of perfection and qualities of majesty that Allah has affirmed for Himself and that His Messenger—may Allah bless him and grant him peace—has affirmed for Him.
3 - Denying all the deficiencies and imperfections that Allah has denied of Himself and that His Messenger—may Allah bless him and grant him peace—has denied of Him, without distorting or denying His attributes, specifying their modality, or likening them to those of creation.
4 - The attention the shaykh—may Allah have mercy on him—gave to principles and guidelines in this collection, which help students of knowledge understand the issues of this important subject.
5 - According to the righteous predecessors, Allah’s Most Beautiful Names are established solely through revelation and may not be derived from anything other than the texts
