and difficulties. He gives succour to all creatures when their affairs become difficult and they fall into hardship and distress: He feeds their hungry, clothes their naked, delivers those in distress, and sends them rain in times of dire need. Likewise, He answers the distressed person’s cry for help—that is, the supplication of anyone who calls upon Him in anguish, hardship, and desperation. Whoever seeks His succour, He grants it. The Quran and Sunnah contain a great many well-known accounts of His relieving distress, removing hardships, and making difficult matters easy.”1.
